T-9
T-9 is a popular, early-maturing variety of Urad (black gram) known for its reliable and stable yields. It features medium-small, light-black to greenish-brown seeds and matures within 70 to 80 days.
Maturity: Early duration, fully ripening in about 70–80 days.
Seed Color & Size: Seeds are light-black, sometimes described as greenish-brown, and medium to small in size.
Plant Structure: Medium-height plants (typically 30–40 cm) with 4–5 branches per plant. Pods are medium length and hold about 6–8 seeds each.
Yield Potential: Average yields range from 10–12 quintals per hectare (or about 4–5 quintals per acre depending on irrigation).
Sowing Season: Suitable for Kharif (June to July), spring/summer (March to April), and sometimes Zaid or winter (November) depending on the region.
Seed Rate: Requires about 6–8 kgs of seeds per acre.
